August 26, 2025 Virginia Beach City Council voted to approve the conditional zoning for Solace Springs , paving the way for a new development blending sustainability, affordability, and community design. The approval signals strong municipal support for our growth.

June 16, 2025 VBCDC held the groundbreaking ceremony for Tranquility II , marking a major step forward in expanding affordable housing options. This project furthers our commitment to high-quality, supportive living environments in Virginia Beach.

February 9, 2022 VBCDC and NAMI proposed a development of 45–60 units, some reserved for people with mental health needs, with on-site services and NAMI’s regional headquarters embedded in the complex. This project aims to merge affordability with supportive services in a single campus. If realized, it would mark a new standard in combining housing and mental health infrastructure.

February 5, 2025 VBCDC and NAMI Coastal Virginia have launched a partnership to integrate affordable housing with on-site mental health services.
