VBCDC's success is built upon successful partnerships. From
inception, we have partnered with both the public and private
sector. Both in the homeownership and rental housing program,
the VBCDC has created programs that involve numerous housing
partners. In 1987, the First Home Ownership Program was
created by partnering with the City of Virginia Beach and the
Virginia Housing Development Authority.
The first rental housing program, the Transitional Housing Program
for homeless families, was created by partnering with the U.S.
Department of Housing & Urban Development, the City of Virginia
Beach, a local financial institution, and local social service
providers.
Over the years, the VBCDC has partnered with many organizations
both private, public and non-profit.
